JAT GROUP OF ARC TIMERS
AND
ARC START COUNTERS

The “JAT” family of arc timers and arc start counters is housed in an industrial strength ABS plastic box reinforced with a polycarbonate faceplate. This compact device weighing less than 18 oz it fits in the palm of your hand. A robust 35# pull magnet on the back allows for safe and secure device placement in any welding environment. With twenty six different models to chose from we are sure you will find one to fit your needs. Models with our bolt on, clamp on and doughnut current sensors come with a standard four foot lead. Replacement sensors are available. Replacement meters are also available to maintain device in the field if necessary. Each device has a key protected reset to prevent “accidental” data erasure. All meters are keyed alike. Time is recorded in HHH:MM:SS format. Units may be used with Plasma and HF applications with our HF protection capacitor kit. This is denoted by the suffix -HF on any applicable part number. Meters are powered by internal batteries that do not require any interface or power for your welding equipment. Simply attach the chosen sensor to your welding cable and place meter in a safe location and strike an arc, data will be recorded. Battery life while advertised as being in excess of seven to years by the manufacturer, our meters often function well over fifteen years without any servicing of internal parts.

The following is an overview of the “JAT” models we are offering at this time.

Doughnut Current Sensor Installation and Operation

Just Arc weld current sensors are simple, reliable and inexpensive. Easily place in any welding system within seconds. They offer trouble free interface with your existing welding equipment without any modifications.

Doughnut Sensor This device is installed by passing a cable through the weld current sensor aperture that has a one and one quarter inch diameter hole. This feature also helps keep the arc timer where you want it to be as well as excellent protection from false triggering. Weld current of 40 Amps DC or greater will activate the sensor. Lower current or erratic signals can be addresses by placing a loop in the current sensor.
